Blaise Dismer, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Therapist

Blaise earned his B.S. in Psychology from North Georgia College and his Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia. Originally trained as a cognitive behavioral therapist (CBT) at the Anxiety Disorder Institute of Atlanta, he is actively involved with the Anxiety and Depression Association of America. He has made numerous presentations there as a speaker, panel member and working with the hospitality committee for their annual conference.

His experience includes private practice, inpatient, partial hospitalization venues, as well as in vivo exposure work with anxious or agoraphobic clients in their homes and communities. He has also served at the Veteran's Administration specializing in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Blaise is a recovered agoraphobic, professional speaker and author of a memoir, Homebound No More. His passion lies in helping others whose lives have been impacted by anxiety, panic and depression. Currently, he is available to see new patients on weekday mornings.

Blaise is a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, certified through the University of California, Berkeley.
